My boyfriend found a spider while working this morning that he's convinced is a black widow. While it certainly looks like one it has a grey hourglass instead of red. Anyone have any idea what it might be?

Once again without a photo its impossible to say. Check out the steatoda spiders on spiderzrule as they are in the same family and it could be one of them glen
