Please help me to ID spider.

Hi! I'm new here and this is my first post.

I found a spider on the top of a pine in my backyard and i want to know what kind of spider is this. I took these pics, but they are not that good.

I took "better" pics of that spider, and also, I found a small one a little down of the big one:

I think I know this one. Glen identified one of these for me a while back. Golden orb weaver. And I bet the little one is the male, waiting for his chance to mate.

Good chance I'm wrong though...
