Every night various spiders spin their webs at various locations around our house starting at dusk. In the morning there is no sign of them. They are some sort of orb weaver, but I'd love to know what specific type they are. We haven't been able to find a picture of one in any of our spider guide books. We live in North Florida. I'm trying to attach my picture but I don't think it has attached. Thank you!

No there is no photo. It is probably just a garden orb weaver or one of the nephila clavipes spiders that spin golden silk webs. Check them out on spiderzrule and I'm sure you will find yours glen

Thank you very much for the reply! I'm not sure how to upload the photos. After looking through lots of guides, we've determined we have a bunch of barn spiders (Araneus cavaticus) weaving their webs around our house each night. They're fascinating to watch!

Yeah spiders are all around my house doing the same thing. They are nocternal, so they sleep at day. I have a website about spiders. Its spiderland.webs.com
