They are NOT spiders, correct? I know that the zoology textbook I used last year said that they are not classified as spiders, but I hear a lot of contradictory information and I was just wondering if someone could clarify for me. Thank you!

they are an arachnid but not technically a spider. Check out my info on them on spiderzrule.com
